Sweet little music box. I got this as a gift for a 7-year-old girl who loves unicorns. I was a little bummed by the damage on the back corner. I don’t know when/how the damage occurred. The jewelry box came inside a retail packaging box. Other than the dent, it’s a great gift. The colors and illustrations are pretty. The unicorn spins upon opening the box (if the key is wound ahead of time). If you’re able to use a coupon, it’s a good value. Allow time to receive and check for quality (I did not have time to return, because I needed it for a birthday gift)
Box is very pretty with muted pastel colors. It is rather small. The spinning unicorn inside is nice and detailed, large enough to be noticed. The actual box as a whole is rather flimsy, a cardboard box with pretty paper on it. The musical works are screwed onto outside back of box. Winds well. Nice enough, just don't expect it to last a long time.
Got this for my 7 year old and she loves throwing all her trinkets in here.

Since our five year old granddaughter is really into unicorns this was a good birthday gift. The big takeaway is that she really likes it. It's a typical music box, with a spinning figurine and a melody that plays when opened. The five year old very quickly learned how to wind it up to get it to continue playing, and she doesn't over-wind and risk damage. So far so good.But when you start to talk about quality, that's where the view shifts. This isn't well made. It doesn't play the melody particularly well, with relatively poor sound, skipping, pauses, etc. In other words this is a nice item but a cheap one and so four stars.
